About the event
Sound is all around us. When we listen closely and attentively, it can become a rich source of imagination, creativity, and composition. James Weeks’ practice is rooted in deep environmental listening, transforming found sound into a wide range of creative outputs — from sonic landscapes and sound collages to collective vocal works and experimental sound environments.
This relaxed, stand-alone taster session invites you to experience his approach first-hand in the inspiring setting of Palace Green.
No previous musical training is required — this session is open to anyone with curiosity and a creative mindset. If you are a musician or work with sound, you are welcome to bring an instrument, though voice and listening will be central to the activity.
