About the event
The Light Within: Royal Northern Sinfonia joined forces with Durham University’s New Art Music Ensemble to give the first performance of James Weeks’ Hyetophony (version 2), in a programme focused on sounds of the natural environment. The full programme, curated and directed by James Weeks, included music by John Cage, Annea Lockwood, John Luther Adams, David de la Haye, Elisabet Dijkstra, Sylvia Lim and Michael Finnissy.
